About Shaun |
yes, me again. articulate, yet ambiguous me. crappy, cynical me. sarcastic, sardonic me. 'nuff alliteration. those who know me personally, quick, raise up your hands and scream "YES! YES!" and on i'll go, telling you the things you'd rather not know about me, things that are utterly, pointedly, inevitably, ultimately and obviously, useless. (unless you're planning to write a biography on me, of which i assume the chances are slim enough to be negligible) |

but anyway. |
shaun. ordinary Chinese male. 14 years as of 8th May 1998. average height (or so i'd like to think, standing at 163cm). |

the love of my life is none other than my dearest laopo char, who is
the reason why i'm here, alive and writing this in the first place. my other affinities are for drumming (my primary musical [percussive?] love), the guitar (i have an electric but it's only a hobby) and the euphonium (don't ask me to explain. it's a brass instrument i play in the school band) writing and messing around with the Web and with people's minds come in next. |
physically, no one knows i am "small and skinny" better than i do. repeated droning of facts into one's head *is* effective, especially if it's my darling that's doing it. i'm just glad she doesn't dislike me for it. =)
but if anything, doesn't numerous NAPFA Golds mean anything to anyone? thin i may be, but runt am i not. my sporting interests centre heavily on ball games, you know the like. soccer and basketball mainly, but i did dabble in softball and rugby a few years back. don't have the chance to now, though. floorball looks interesting...anyone knows where to get started? |
my goodness, i haven't told you where i studied? geez. i'm currently in Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), or ACS ( I ) [in all its acronymious glory] along the same lines, i should state that i'm in the best, most versatile, most outstanding, most unique band ever, the ACS Band. =) |

my taste in music can probably be likened to a plate of rojak, a mishmash of This and That, a dash of Something, a bit of Anything and a little of Everything. vibes of interest include Jars of Clay (forever, man!), Blur and "Ay-Man-Too" (*grins* to those who geddit) i think i'm starting to like Celtic-Indian fusion. band music is omnipresent (can't help but face it 12 hours a week) but can someone puh-lease tell me how to appreciate classical? |
academically, i prefer the humanities and arts to hard sciences and math calculations. i'm sure i don't stand alone in that respect, but it's scary in a meritocratic society like Singapore to dare to go all out for the arts, knowing full well that if you fail, you'll end up nowhere, and even if you succeed, the future will always look uncertain.
ah well, if my life ends up a flop, i rest assured in knowing i have two close confidantes to turn to in tough times, the first being God who has, and will provide for me always, and char, to whom i am eternally grateful for being there when i need her. |

thus endeth my story. |
